Faith not Fear

>> Friday, November 27, 2009

First off, I Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I hope you all enjoyed time with your family and realize how blessed we are. :)

I have been reading Max Lucado's new book Fearless, (thats why I havent been blogging; I've been reading instead). Ok, so I wanted to share a little bit about the book and one of my favorite parts in the book. This book is about making decisions based on faith instead of fear. I didn't realize how much I did this. But what was a real eye-opener for me was this part in the book :

"The Gospels list some 125 Christ-issued imperatives. Of these, 21 urges us to "not be afraid," or "not fear" or "have courage" or "take heart" or "be of good cheer."

Jesus wants us to have faith in him, instead of fearing each decision we make. He will fix it, if we mess up. I think this is all something we need to take to heart. We have no control; God has it all. God has me in the palm of his hand and he cares for me. That is plenty for me; and something I am incredibly thankful for!

I love yall!

God speaks to us everyday; we just have to choose whether or not we listen

>> Friday, November 20, 2009

So I have been really really really really down lately. Im struggling with a lot of things, but tonight I when I was reading my Bible I read this:

Psalms 13
5 But I trust in your unfailing love.
I will rejoice because you have rescued me.
6 I will sing to the Lord
because he is good to me.

Lately I have been taking for granted all the good things in my life, and focusing on the negative and bad things happened to me. This week has been really rough, I LOATHE my new job, one of my best friends is deathly(and when I say deathly Im not joking) ill, my friend Luke got terminated from the program, I miss home with every ounce of being, and My "adopted" Granddaddy passed away. I have been focusing on these things, but God always speaks to us. He did save me and I have to realize that I need to turn these bad things into good things. I need to appreciate meeting new people at my job, pray for my friend, Luke got to go home and be with his family, I am blessed enough to get to talk to my family and have a family to love, and Granddaddy is where he wanted to be; with God. I need to focus on taking every blessing I have and counting it. Tomorrow is a new day, if God chooses to bless me with, and I wont waste it like I have been wasting my days lately. I am going to focus on the good things and try my hardest to enjoy every minute of every day. I love you all!!

God Held Me and Smiled

>> Saturday, November 14, 2009

God held me and smiled
As He wiped away tears.
He whispered that He loved me
And said, I know your fears.”

He rocked me and He sang
Songs of love and sweet rest.
He would lead me and guide me
In the way that was best.

His hand will not falter,
His voice will not fail.
I can trust Him completely
For His grace will prevail.

My hope is in Jesus,
My friend and my guide.
He has walked on before me
And in Him I’ll abide.

A MAJOR pet peeve.

>> Sunday, November 8, 2009

So, I had a good weekend, but I need to vent about a pet peeve of mine. First off, this is NOT meant to offend anyone in any form or fashion. Kudos to your personal preference. This is just mine. It COMPLETELY and ENTIRELY rubs me the wrong way when Christmas is celebrated before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite Holiday, and it irks me when people skip over it. It makes me so mad when Christmas is celebrated before Halloween is even over. People are late on a daily basis, why do all of the sudden they get to be TWO MONTHS early. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas, but I love Christmas at Christmas time NOT at Thanksgiving time. I think that it shows a lot about our society when we decide to skip over the Holiday we celebrate to be Thankful for what we have, to the Holiday that celebrates what we Get. I dont think this is everyone's mindset(Shannon, I dont think you are like this. Please dont get offended); I just think it reflects on society a lot. Thats all. If you read this and got offended, please dont. Just dont skip over Thanksgiving. It means a lot. I know Im not going to change anyone, but I just wanted to throw out my opinion. Thats all. Sorry it's short.

Have a blessed night tonight :)

Prayer Request

>> Friday, November 6, 2009

So today isnt going to be my normal upbeat post. I'm sick physically and mentally exhausted. I am just throwing this out there. You can catch it, throw it back, or do whatever with it. I HATE having to decide what I am going to do for the rest of my life by the time I am 22. Some people know what they want to do and stick with it and get out school in the 4 years. I am 20 years old, why is the round world do I have to pick now what I am going to do when I am 40. It makes no sense to me what so ever. I know I want to be a Nurse. I have decided that BUT I have NO clue what so ever where I want to go to school. I have several options, but nothing I am truely pulled too. The cons out weigh the pros. I am so confused. I am coming to you to ask for your prayers to help me figure out where I am going to go in two months. Ill keep you updated on my decision. Right now my decision is that I am undecided(haha). Ok. Thats all. I hope you all have a lovely day :)

It's A Grand Ole Time

TODAY I STARTED MY NEW JOB! I am no longer a cast member at Typhoon Lagoon(Pause for a moment of silence).......now moving on. I really do miss Typhoon but I wanted to tell you and show where I am working now. Are you ready for this? I dont think you are. At all. I sure wasnt. Ready? Set. Reveal!

Ok. So here is what I learned today. People have too much money. Let me just tell you about my new home, the Grand Floridian. The Grand Floridian is a resort and spa that is modeled after a Victorian Era House by the Seas. It looks like the Titanic when you walk in. It is beautiful.

One Night at the Grand can range anywhere from $400.00 a night to $4000.00 a night. WHAT IN THE ROUND WORLD? Are people insane. $4000 to sleep somewhere(Yes you are reading that right four-thousand). Ok. So that is for room alone. Lets talk about fun stuff.

I went on a yacht today. Would you like to know how much it cost for ONE HOUR to rent this yacht? Well whether you answered yes or no I am going to tell you. $45o. ONE HOUR for $450. I will swim you around on my back for an hour for $100. Please and thank you. So lets rethink this.

If you rent the cheapest room for ONE night and the yacht for ONE hour. Your total is already at $840 (before tax). You can also rent sail boats, speed racers, and other marina things.
We have a spa and gym that is open 24 hours a day. Two pools with bars. A beach with hammocks and cabanas. Tennis Courts. Shopping....oh let me tell you about shopping and food.

Food: I am working at Gasperillas. It's quick service still and we have arcade games and all kinds of fun stuff. Here is a list of the other restaurants:

Grand Flordian Cafe: It quick service dining. American cuisine. To be exact(aka Hamburgers)

1900 Park Fare: Character Dining: Breakfast Mary Poppins, Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, and other characters. Supper(night meal) you eat with Cinderella, Prince Charming, The Ugly Step-Sisters and the Evil Step Mother. Both of these meals are a buffet.

Tea: At the Perfectly Princess Tea Party. There is a mother-daughter tea with Alice and the Mad Hatter. At the end of the tea, there is a parade for all of the Princesses.

Citricos: Upper Scale Mediterranean dining. This is still kid friendly but it is more for adults.

Narcoossee: Upper Scale Steak and Seafood. This is on the bay looking at Magic Kingdom. :)

AND FOR THE GRAND(no pun intended) FINALE:
Victoria's & Alberts: The starting price for this is $120 a person. There is a formal where(ball gowns and tux) dress code. There is a age limitation on this resturaunt.

WELCOME: Am I in a ritzy hotel or what? I feel so out of place. Haha. Oh me. This Country-Bumpkin is going to have a lot of getting use too. :) Anyways Ill update you on the shopping part later.

Have a Magical Night :)

PS Here is a link so you can look more at the

Ok. So I mentioned that I love quotes in this blog. I have a journal that I bought at Wal-Mart a year or so ago, and now I write any good quote in that. So today I decided to share some of my quotes with you.

  • Darkness cannot drive out; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that-MLKJ

There are 10 little quotes for yoU!

It was a blah day with a good ending!!

>> Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Today was a blah day. I met my new trainers for Grand Floridian, when I first got to work. Then I worked. It was not a good day at work. The managers and I were not friends today. That's all. BUT I got to see Caleb's parents Mama Cynthia and Dennis George(from back home)! I met them at Epcot and we got ice cream and talked! I miss them. They are precious. End of Story. Then I went to my friend's Liz's apartment and hung out there. End of my day. How was your day?

No, I did not stand around and do nothing for 6 hours. No, I did not come home and fall asleep. No, I did not get up watch clips of Glee. No, I am not going right back to bed. :)

My dogs are barkin....

>> Saturday, October 17, 2009

I have been on the run for the past two weeks, therefore, I have failed you as a blogger and have not updated my blog. I. Am. Sorry. I will hit the highlights and I promise this wont happen again!

Last week: I worked, went to the parks, and ran errands: Monday-Wednesday: BUT on Thursday my parents flew in! I got off work and surprised my parents by picking them up at the airport! My roommate was suppose to, but I got to! Then we went to their hotel which was shady and stunk. Haha. We were bums.I showed them my apartment, We ate a Red Lobster(the endless shrimp is AMAZING), and then they met some of my friends. Then we went to the hotel and took a nap. Then Mom and I went to the scariest wal-mart I have ever been too, went to Subway, and then we watched Bones and The Office. It was a lazy-but good-day.

Friday: I worked. After work my parents picked me up at Walgreens (after they had an adventurous day driving around Orlando finding a new hotel). We went and got supper, then we went to Downtown Disney and walked around. They got to see the Lego Store where everything is made of legos, and then Mom and I made candy at Goofys!

Saturday: It was so hot! I took Mom and Dad to Animal Kingdom and Epcot! We watched the Festival of Lion King, rode the Safari Ride, took our picture with Goofy, and watched a 3-d It's Tough to be a Bug (which my mom screamed in two or three times) at Animal Kingdom. Then we took a break went and ate lunch at Chili's and cleaned up. Then we went to Epcot. We went to Club Cool which is where you try all the cokes from around the world. I was mean and tricked Mom and Dad into trying the worst thing ever first. I wish you could have seen their faces! It was so funny. There are cokes from China, Isreal, Thailand, Japan, Costa Rica, Germany, Italy, and Mozambique. You get a mini coke cup and try all of them for free! It's a really neat experiences. Mom and Dad didn't get to ride Soarin or Test Track because the wait was 2 hours on both of the rides. So we went to the living Seas and rode Nemo and looked at the Aquarium. Then we walked and looked at some of the countries. Then we rode Adventure Earth, which is where you ride up into the Epcot ball, and then we played some of the Adventure Earth games at the end. Then we went and watched the Fireworks. Epcot's fireworks are called Illuminations Reflections of Earth, and it features a huge globe and the countries in Epcot. It's really cool(but there's not much down here that isnt cool). THEN Anna and Amy got here! We met up with them after park, talked for a little bit then went back to the hotel and slept.

Sunday: We went to church. And by WE -I mean Me MY MOM, MY DAD, MY ROOMMATE, and MY URNA!-can you tell I am excited?! It was so nice to have people you know down here! Even if it was just for one church service. I miss home. Then we went to Chili's. Yes, we went twice. Then home to take a Nap-Which I believe with my whole heart what Sunday afternoons are made for. After nap, we went church, then we went and got Subway, played putt putt golf at mom and dad's hotel and swam! It was a great weekend!!

Monday: I had to take my parents to the air-port at the butt crack of dawn. (aka. 5:15....which is 4:15 most of your time). Then i cried on my way home(and yes I did just admit that). Slept. Work. Anna(We call her Urna) and Roommate(this is my Roommate, Amy Carroll, from college) played at Typhoon. Then after work, I met up with them and we went to the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios. After that we walked around and then we went to Goofys. Anna and Roommate both got candy apples and I got a rice krispie treat. (Don't judge me!) Then we went home ate our Goofy's and went to bed.

Tuesday: I got Roommate and Urna into Animal Kingdom then I had to RUSH to work. haha. I worked until 3 then I met up with them at AK. Roommate and I rode Everst(which is the most amazing roller coaster). AND Roommate screamed like a little girl. It was so funny. I couldnt scream because I was laughing so hard at RM. Then we left AK and went to Magic Kingdom. I was so excited to have them with me! The main reason we went was to let RM see the castle and she did get choked up! But so do I so I am not judging. We rode Buzz Lightgear Ride, Winnie the Pooh's Adventure, and the Tea Cups. We have some of the funniest pictures ever from the Tea Cups. :) Then we walked around for a while and left at 7 to go to Hollywood Studios! We went to McDonalds on the way! We were starving then we had to book-it to get to HS in time to see my favorite show-Fantasmic! Urna and RM both loved it!! Then after that it was time for the parks to close so we went and got ice cream. We went to their hotel and swam in an amazing pool! Then we went to bed. It was a great day :)

Wednesday: We got up and went to the coolest McDonalds ever! They have gormet meals: like shrimp pasta, pinni's, a grill, Belgium waffles, and lots more fancy food. It had a waterfall, Rainforest area, arcade, bowling games, and the fanciest bathroom ever. haha. We had breakfast and then said our good-byes and yet again I cried but not until I was by myself. I went to work and then church. Then home. I miss my real home.

Thursdays: I worked and then after work I picked up my friend Spenser and we went to my friend Luke's apartment. I cooked supper and we watch baseball. When I got home it was 1:30a.m., but then I had to wait up until 2:15 to take my roommate, Texas, to the airport. I got home at 3:30ish and went to bed at 4.

Friday: I went to work. Let me tell you about work. It was an interesting day. When I got to work, I had done pre-shift opening, but then my Coordinator says we aren't opening the park because we have no speakers. (You see the day before there was a big storm and lightning hit the park). So we usually open at 10 but we didn't get open until 11:30ish. By this point most guest had gone to different parks. So when we opened we had 786 guest. We usually have minimum of 2000. We out numbered the guest 2:1 at least. Haha. SO before we opened my Boss had decided to put me on cash at Palms. Which to me is one of the scariest things ever! It was my first time, and I was so nervous. I did ok, but I had a really funny encounter with some guest. Here is my favorite one:

This man, his wife, and an icredibly attractive guy walked up to my register. I can't figure out the relationship of the man and the couple but the two guys were making jokes with each other and with me. They kept changing their order to mess me up, and were cracking themselves and me up. So with the meal plan, you get a dessert and they couldn't make up their mind. They finally picked and I was repeating their order back to them and I said to the man,
Me: "So, you are a fruit cup."
Gues:"Excuse me! What did you say?"
Me: Im so sorry!
Guest(jokingly) I need to see a manager! You just called me a fruit cup! Excuse me everyone, she just called me a fruit cup!
Me: Im so sorry!
Guest: DID YOU HEAR SHE CALLED ME A FRUIT CUP!
Hottie-Mc Hot Stuff: Pound it! You just called him a fruit cup!
Me: Shss! You are going to get in trouble. You're total is $23.16.
Guest: SHE CALLED ME A FRUIT CUP!

It was so funny! Then I met a guy who played football for the University of Tennessee! I was in awe.

Then after work: I went to Magic Kingdom and fell in love again. Everytime I see SpectroMagic and Wishes I fall in love with Disney. The Big Bad Wolf got right in my face and I screamed. He really scared me!(Yes he was this close!!) Then Malificent (the evil woman from Sleeping Beauty) stared me down and pointed at me). I screamed again. She stared at me until we couldn't see her anymore. It was so scary! Goofy waved at me!! My heart melted. I LOVE SPECTROMAGIC! I went with a group from work and they cracked up at me like they do everytime. We rode Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain twice. It was so much fun! We had a great time together!

Today: I was a bum. End. Of. Story. Haha. I did laundry and cleaned and watched t.v. I was a bum. :)

You are now caught up on my life

Epic Fail(continued)

>> Tuesday, October 6, 2009

So this is the continuation of my weekend.

Saturday: I woke up and hit snooze on my phone and then my phone disappeared. I looked for it for two hours. We(my roommates and I) pulled my bed apart and moved it. We picked up the dresser. No phone. So I finally left. I went to Hollywood Studios with Jill and we ate a Sci-Fi Diner. WHICH IS THE COOLEST PLACE IN THE WORLD TO EAT. You eat in a 50's car at a 50's drive in. There is a picket fence, with car hops, and they play a movie. There was a sky and a stars, speakers by the car, and there was 50's commercials! This place is precious. The food was really good but the milk-shakes were great! It was so neat.
After Sci-Fi, we went and played in the parks! I watched Indiana Jones and the show was so neat. They show the action making of Indian Jones. I was in awe of the stuff blowing up. We rode the Star Wars ride. And on the Star Wars ride my wallet fell open. EVERY SINGLE card I have went flying on the floor. Jill and I were having to step on the cards to stop them. It was so funny. We were laughing so hard that I didn't get to enjoy the ride. It was funny. Then when the park closed, I went and rented a movie and watched it at Caleb's. Then I went to bed after I found my phone. You know where it was? OH let me tell you. It was underneath my roommates bed. Please someone explain that one to me.

Sunday: I went to church with Jill and Caleb. Then we went to eat Chinese, and it was good. When we got home, Caleb guilted to me into hanging out so we went to Blizzard Beach Water park.(Because we were suppose to hang out on Saturday and we didn't because i lost my phone). The first thing we did was go into the bobbing pool to get use to the water, but we didn't stay long there. We went to do Summit Plummet. This is one of the scariest rides I have ever done. It is a 120ft drop body water slide. We took a ski lift up to the top and then 4 flights of stairs. It was so scary. It clocks how fast you go and the person in front of me when 58 miles per hour. Yes, that is just your body going that fast. Anyways, Caleb made me go first so I wouldnt be able to Chicken out. I screamed the whole time BUT it was so much fun!! We did all the other rides , and went in the lazy river and just floated for a while. Then we were leaving and Caleb gets a call, and Linda and Darrell Palmer were down here and surprised us! We went out to eat with them at Bahama Breeze, then we went to the Boardwalk to watch the fireworks and we missed them but we had a good time playing in the sand and walkin around. It was a wonderful weekend.

THIS WEEK HAS BEEN AMAZING but I have to go to bed so I will post more tomorrow. Love yall! Thanks for readin!

I am an Epic Fail Blogger....

>> Monday, October 5, 2009

I realize that I am an epic fail at blogging. BUT this will be a long an very fun and very insightful blog :) Are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready? I am!! So fasten your seat belts and enjoy the ride!!

(PS I will post videos later! and pictures)

Thursday: I worked until 5. Then I got home and went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I went trick-or-treating around the Magic Kingdom! How many people get to say that? I got candy from Mickey and Minnie!! I was so excited. There were so many people dressed up and it was so cool. The party starts after hours, so there was all kinds of special stuff. THere was a special parade which was AMAZING! There were grave diggers that did a step routine and they spun around with their shovels on the ground. They spin so hard that they cause sparks! Then their was all kinds of fun parts of the parades! I watched it twice!! I got my face painted for free which usually cost $15-20. YES IT WAS FREE and it was stellar make up. The fireworks were even better than Wishes. They were called Hallow-wishes. It was a special show and it's themed about Villains. The firework finale explode around you!! I love how everything turns dark-themed. And then the next day its back to normal. It was foggy, "scary" music, and lights were all down Main Street. The were ghost and creatures everywhere. Then after I went trick or treating, again. BUT HERE IS THE SHOW STOPPER I met Snow White and ALL 7 DWARFS!! That NEVER EVER HAPPENED! Snow White sounded amazing. She talked so sweetly and called me Princess! :) Yes, I am so excited 4 days later! Ill post videos and MORE pictures!

Friday: After work, I went to the Yatch and Beach Club. When I first walked into the Beach and Yatch club I was in awe. This resort makes you feel like you are on a beach. There is sand and waves, a massive pool, a boat that has a huge slide, sand in the pool. It has the florals and bright colors that a beach has. It is precious and beautiful. My friend, Anke, is from Germany and her program had ended. It was her last in Flordia so 15 of us went to an ice cream place called Beaches and Cream. They have a speciality called the kitchen sink. AND let's just say that our garbage pail looks like a snack compared to this thing. It fed 7 of us! Our tables of 15 people had 2 kitchen sinks. After that, Spenser, Caleb and I went and walked on the board walk. There are stores and it is EXACTLY like a beach board walk. I love how Disney creates worlds minutes apart from each other that feel like they are miles apart. Then Caleb and I hung out and watched a movie. (Here are couple of pictures of the kitchen sink....mind you there were 7 of us that ate this)

I know still have to update you on Saturday and Sunday, but I am tired. I have to work tomorrow morning, but I PROMISE I will write more tomorrow :) Have a great night!

Caution This Contains Corny!!

>> Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Ok! So one of my favorite things in the world is corny pick up lines. I was going to save this post for Things I love Thursdays, but I can contain myself! So here are some of my favorite corny pick-up lines!!

  • Are you a broom....because you have swept me off my feet.
  • How much does a Polar Bear Weigh?....enough to break the ice. Hi my name is Amy!
  • Are you a library book?....Cause I want to check you out.
  • If they named a hamburger after you it would be called the McGorgeous.
  • Did it hurt....When you fell from heaven.
  • Is your name Visa? Cause you are everywhere I want to be.
  • What's your number? I lost mine
  • That's a nice shirt....can I talk you out of it.
  • Do your feet hurt?....Cause you have been running through my mind.
  • Can you help me I'm lost....in your eyes.
  • I hurt all over....Because, Baby, I've fallen hard for you!
  • Hey baby, you must be a light switch cause everytime I see you, you turn me on!
  • Do you believe in love at first sight....or should I walk by again?

These are just a few. I could read these all day long and not get tired of it. I hope you got a chuckle or two out of these.

Man, I have a tough life... ;)

>> Tuesday, September 22, 2009

I was talkin to my big brother Saturday Night and he said, Man you sure have a tough life. Hints my blog title. BUT I GOT TO TALK TO MY NEPHEWS! I miss the soooo much. It broke my heart a little to hear their voices but moving on....

Saturday, I went to Typhoon Lagoon(yes, the place I work) BUT I got to go and play. I swam with the skarks 2 times. I love doing that. I think it's so relaxing. I layed in the lazy river, went in the wave pool. Hung out with my friends, but the highlight of my day was getting a GARBAGE PAIL. Yes, the massive sandbucket of ice cream. It was so yummy :) I shared it with 4 of my friends. It was amazing. After Typhoon, I came home, showered, watched some tv then I went to Magic Kingdom and watched the fireworks. I fall in love over and over with Disney. Each time I see Spectromagic. Each time I see the Castle. Each time I walk down Main Street. Each time I see the Fireworks. I fall in love. This time when I watched Spectromagic I didn't have to stand on my tip-toes to see it and it was even better! The character heard when I yelled their names :) I am so incredibly blessed to have this experience and I realize that each and everyday.

Sunday, I went to church at Concord. Then I came home and took a nap for 15 minutes then I went back to Typhoon. We were going to go to the beach, but I really wanted to go to church Sunday night so we wouldn't have time to do both. So instead I went back to Typhoon. Haha. Don't judge me for going to where I work on my days off. After night services, we were going to go to see Wishes, but we got confused on the time. So we got to see them from the road as we were driving away. Then I came home and skyped with Urna for like 20 minutes, did laundry, and went to bed.

Monday, I worked. THEN I went to Downtown Disney to go to my future husband's(Goofy)'s Candy shop. AND LET ME TELL YOU! That is one of the most amazing candy shop's in the world. There is a part where you get to build your own candy let me explain the process.

  1. Pick your base candy(apple, gingerbread, pretzel sticks, marshmallows, a giant oreo, or Mickey shaped rice krispie treat)
  2. Pick what kind of chocolate you want your treat dipped in(milk, dark or white)
  3. Pick what kind of topping you want(too many to list but there is anything you could imagine)
  4. Pick what kind of chocolate you want drizzled over your original treat(milk, dark or white)
TADA! Then you have your orginal Mickey treat. And how much does this little slice of heaven cost me? Oh well let me tell you friends, it cost me all of $4. Yes, I did just say $4. No, not $40. Just $4. haha. I was so excited when she rang me up. I got the oreo with peanut butter filling, dipped in milk chocolate, with recees' cups as my topping drizzled with milk chocolate. I LOVED IT! It was so good. Haha. Yes, you should envy me. ;)

Today I worked, now I am being a bum. Thats all. Have a great day everyone :)

Continuation of my this past week.....

Sunday: Sunday, I went to church at Concord again. Let me tell you, I love Concord. Not as much as I love Alvaton, but it is an amazing congergation. When I got to church, I walked downstairs and went into our classroom. There was a girl sitting there and she turned around and said incredibly loud, "Hi! My name is Jill!" (and here is the rest of the conversation:
Me: Hi, Im Amy
J: Where are you from?
Me: Kentucky.
J: Yea, you talk funny. I'm from Oklahoma What are you doing down here?
Me: Im working at Disney as a CP(college program)
J: WHAT!!! ME TOO!!!!
*High five*
Me: Where do you live?
J: Patterson.
Me: ME TOO!!!
*Another high five*
J: Can I start riding with you?
Me: Yes ma'am!

Cha-Ching! I got a new friend. Haha. Anyways after church I went to eat with some of the college kids from Concord and we went to a returuatunt called Chipotle. It was like Subway except you create your own bowl/burrito/taco. It was really good. After church I went home and did what Sunday afternoons are meant for. I took a nap. :) Then after my nap I met up with my friend Spenser(He introduced himself as Spenser Emmerson, Spenser with a S not a C. All my names have 7 letters....haha), and his roommates and we went to Hollywood Studios. We rode Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster. We also did the Woody Toy Story Ride, and It is amazing!! I got my tail whooped, but it was so worth it. We played other games, and rode other rides. We watched the American Idol Finale which is really neat. During the day they have audition rounds and then each round someone get eliminated, like the real show. You vote and everything. The really neat part is that the winner get's a golden ticket and that means they can go to the front of any audition line for the real American Idol show. How much fun is that? Then we finished off the night with Fantasmic, which I still claim is my FAVORITE night-time show. It sends chills down my spine everytime I watch it. After Hollywood Studios, we went to McDonalds and had a lot of fun there. Then I came home and went to bed :)

Monday: I worked all day Monday. I worked this week at two places Crush Cart and Surf Doggies. I am not a huge fan/ I loathe working at these two places. I'll vent about Crush in a second. ANYWAYS after I got off work, I came home and took a shower and I had some friends over from work. We ordered Chinese and attempted to watch a movie but we had Roommate issues and drama so we went to one of the people I was hanging out with apartments. It was so much fun. One of the guys I was with feel asleep WITHOUT his shoes on. WHICH means that it is free game to draw on him. So that is exactly what we did. It was lots of fun. Then I came home and went to bed :)

*TIME-OUT I think it's so cool that when people ask me, hey what are you going to do tonight? I get to say oh Im going to play at Disney!" I mean how cool is that?!? Ok. Time in.*

TUESDAY: This is my vent session. I got to work at 9:00 and when I clocked-in it said to take Position 1 at Crush Cart. I have never worked at Crush Cart. So I get to CC and I am the only one there which means I am opening. How STUPID is that. I had no idea what to do. Then my radio wasn't working, so I had to walk back to the Coordinators office to get help. Then they sent me on a wild goose chase to find a guy to help me open. After I got done trying to find that non existant man, I went BACK to the Coordinators office and then they sent someone to me. My stand was suppose to open at 10, but because I didnt know what I was doing it didnt open until 10:30. My Operator number(which open and lets me use the register) wouldnt work. So then I wasn't able to serve anything. I only had 76 customers in 8 hours. It was miserable. CC is outside foods AKA NO AIR CONDITIONING! But here is the good new: My Cousins Corey and Shannon were here. So they would come by and see my stand! Then it was lots of fun. So after I got off my miserable shift: I went out to supper with my Roommate~ Julie, Corey and Shannon. We went to Olive Garden and it was heavenly! Then we went to see a movie, which was not good. Then I came home and went to bed :)

Wednesday: I worked at el stupido CC again. It was awful. Then I met up with Corey and Shannon we had church then we went to Disney Quest! Disney Quest is a 5 story interactive arcade and once you pay to get in you play all the video games for FREE!! AND why yes I did beat Corey on the drumming game. There are so many different game. There is a Buz Light Gear souped up Bumper game, A Pirates of the Caribbean game where you shoot cannons, a boat ride where you have to stear, and my favorite is where you create your own Roller Coaster. It's Amazing. You really flip and turn side-ways. It's so cool!! Then we went and hung out at their hotel. Then I went home and went to bed :)

Thursday: I went to work at stupid CC again. We closed at 4:45 instead of 5. How nice of them right? I had to close the stand all by myself which isn't fun. Then the next thing I know the park intercome system comes on and it says that we are staying open for another 2 hours. WHAT THE JUNK!? But good news I found out why. There was a "suspicious package" on one of the Disney buses so they had to check every single bus, so there wasnt any buses to pick up our guest when the park closed. After work, I came home and I got to talk to my parents on SKYPE! How much fun is that? It was really good to see their faces. I went to the Mart of Wals(Wal-Mart) and bought groceries. Then I came home and went to bed :)

Friday: WHICH BRINGS US UP TO DATE: I worked at Surf Doggies. Came home fell asleep on accident. Slept until my roommate came home, then we went to my friends Spenser's house and watched a movie.

TADA!! There you have it. That's what's been going on in my life. I hope you all enjoy my weekly update. Haha. Im going to the parks tomorrow so Ill have stuff to say :) Im playing at Typhoon Lagoon which is where I work :) WAHOO!!

BEWARE: Lots of Memories Ahead :)

>> Thursday, September 17, 2009

Hey! Im so sorry Im not very good at keepin up with this blogging mess. I've been coming home after work, showering, leaving or work, shower, bed. BUT there is a lot to update you so this is going to be a ridiculously long blog. I dont blame you if you don't want to read it. With that being said, let me back up till last Saturday.

SATURDAY:
Saturday was my day off and I went to Animal Kingdom. When I woke up, I was incredibly sad because it was raining, but you know what I did. I put on my poncho and I was on my way. I dragged asked politely my roommate, Julie, to come with me. So we got to Animal Kingdom at 10ish. When you walk into every park, there is a WOW moment. For example, Magic Kingdom: it's the castle. Epcot: it's the Epcot Ball and Animal Kingdom's is the tree of life. It is so amazing the detail of every animal that is carved into the tree. I just stood there in awww for a few minutes and after I got done looking like I was hypnotized, we went to see a Bug's Life the 3-D Show, It's Tough to be a Bug. That show is so cute :) I know I say that about so many things but I am in love with the 3-D shows down here. I definitely screamed when the bugs ran at my feet. Haha. Then we went to ride Mount Everest which is an INSANE roller coaster. It starts off really boring and I thought it was going to be like that the whole time, BUT then, my friend, you about pee your pants because the tracks end and you come to an abrupt halt and you are looking over at least 5 miles of Orlando. Then you go backwards and it's in the dark. THEN you stop again and the tracks rotate infront of you and its dark so you just see a creepy thing turning over AND THEN you plummet to you death. Haha. After we rode Everest the first 2 times, we went to the Klilmagaro Safaris. We saw lions, elephants, baby elephants, antelope, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, white rhinoceros, rhinoceros, and several other animals. It was so cool because they were so close to you. MIND YOU it was raining the whole time so we didn't even see half the animals but we saw so many. After the safari we went to Rafiki's Planet Watch, which you take a train too. (This is where the story gets embarrassing) At Rafiki's Planet Watch it's an island where you can see rain forest animals, reptiles, and other assorted creatures(aka farm animals….which I have at my house). BUT when I walked into the building I saw character and no lie I screamed. I met Pocahontas, Rafiki, Jiminy Cricket, Wiggins(the bad guy from Pocahontas), Meeko, Timon, Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear, and Baloo. I had baby freak outs when I met them. It was so cool!! I loved it. So after this we got back on the train and started wandering around. We went to Camp Minnie-Mickey to see the Festival of the Lion King, but on our way I saw there was yet ANOTHER place to meet characters. (Im not going to lie this INCREDIBLY embarrassing….like I don't even want to tell you but I can't leave this part of the story out). I was waiting in line to meet Mickey and I was so beyond stoked. When I got to the front of the line it was NOT Just Mickey, it was Minnie too! I screamed!! not a little scream like hard-core screamed! My roommate had to explain to the people in line that I had never been. The people were laughing. (THIS IS NOT THE END OF MY STORY FRIENDS….THERE IS MORE) SO after I get out line, I see there is another line and who is in that line….shut the front door. It was Donald Duck and Goofy. NOT only did I scream but I had a massive freak out. The camera people, characters, other guests, attendants, and my roommate were all laughing. One camera guy said, "It's like you have waited your whole life for this!" and I turned around and said "I have! I have waited 20 years for this!!" Everyone was laughing so hard but I was so excited, Goofy just kept hugging and hugging me. The photographer got 34 pictures of me. They thought I was so funny. I LOVE IT! I can not even begin to describe how filled with joy I was. :) Forget Prince Charming, I want to marry Goofy!!

After this episode, I went to eat lunch and I saw Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. They were precious. I contained myself at this point. Then we went to Dinoland and saw the Finding Nemo Musical. Which is AMAZING! It's people with puppets, but not the corny puppets, like the Lion King on Broadway kind of Puppets. After all of this we went back to Everest and rode it 6 more times. Just in case you weren't counting, that means we rode Everest 8 times. Yes, my friends, 8 times. We decided that at the 8th time we should probably go home. We didn't even do everything at Animal Kingdom! I loved it, but my day did not end here either.

I went home and watched Tennessee loose an awful game, during which, my roommate took a nap. But after that we went to Magic Kingdom. WHAT?!!? Stop the train. I went to 2 parks in one day! I went with my friend Spenser, Caleb, and Julie to Magic Kingdom(MK for future reference). We watched Spectromagic which is only one of the coolest parades EVER!! It's the light parade at Night and we got to watch Wishes which is the firework show at MK. It was even more magical because we saw someone propose right before the fireworks. How cute is that? This was only Satuday. BUT my fingers hurt from typing so I will post the rest of my adventures from this week later tonight. I love you all!!

Things I love Thursday

>> Thursday, September 10, 2009

Ok, so I wanted to add pictures on each of these but I realized that there are a lot of things I love. SO that means that I will have to blog about specific things another time....

1. I love God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I can not express how much they mean to me and impact my daily life. I hope that each of you know this Godhead. I hope you talk to them and tell them you love them, because they talk to you and tell you they love you. It's rude to ignore. :)

2. My family. I miss them all so much. In my family there is My Daddy, My Mommy, My big Brother(Wade) and His wife Allison, My Three precious nephews Canaan, Wyatt and Westin, and My Little Brother, Carter. I have such an amazing family and I miss them so much. I miss playing with my Nephews. It breaks my heart I am away from them so long. I have amazing Grandparents-Papaw and Mamaw(my mom's parents) and my Grandmother-(Dad's mom). I have great cousins, aunts, and uncles. I am truly blessed.

3. My Church and Church Family. There is no place in the world like Alvaton. I am so blessed that Dad got this position. When I moved to Alvaton I loathed it, but I don't know what I would do without it. They are people whom I can depend on, people who arent going to hurt me, people who arent going to judge me, and people who are amazing.

4. My Friends. I think true friends are the hardest to find. I have amazing ones that I can depend on, that make me laugh, that let me cry, and that I can TRUST. I love yall.

5. FHU. I was the happiest I have ever been in my life the year and a half I was blessed to be there. I miss it, but I realize that it was a year and a half that changed my life. I am so glad I got to have that experience.

6. Quotes. In my opinion it amazes me that lines make letters, letters make words, words make sentences, and sentences make emotions.

7. College Sports. Tennessee is my team. The TN Vols, not Vandy or any yucky other team. I bleed TN Orange.

8. Books. I love to read. Historical Fiction and books like Max Lucado writes are my favorite.

9. Milk. I love Chocolate and Plain milk. I drink it with everything. I know that will gross some of you out, but I LOVE it.

10. Communication. Texting, skyping, emails, and letters. I love keeping in touch with people. I dont like to talk on the phone, but I do it. I talk to my parents almost everynight. It's so nice to hear their voices.

There will be more things to come. I promise this isnt all i like :)
